The 2017 NAMI Walk is 3 Weeks Away! Sign Up or donate today!

We are less than 25% towards our goal, please donate today.

W SPA has proudly sponsored the NAMI walk since 2012. We are continuing this tradition again this year, and hoping to increase our regional impact. We greatly appreciate NAMI for providing outpatient mental health support to individuals and families affected by mental health problems.

NAMI Washington provides free community support and education services in 22 regions across Washington State. Their groups include general mental health education for families, peer support programs, skills groups, and specialty services for Veterans and teens suffering from mental health problems. Services are also offered in Spanish.

The exciting change this year is that NAMI Washington has allowed teams to designate where their donations go – allowing us to select specific NAMI regional affiliate offices to benefit. Selecting a specific recipient(s) guarantees that 80% of each donation goes directly to support mental health services (with 20% supporting administrative costs at the state and national levels).

Given this opportunity, WSPF has pledged to split all donations across the 22 Washington offices. This is consistent with WSPF’s mission to represent and advocate for communities in need across Washington State. NAMI provides services in areas where fewer WSPA members and services are located. We see NAMI as a wonderful resource in these communities, worthy of our support.
