Planning for the 2019 convention has started with this year’s theme, “Many Voices, One Community: Shaping the Future of Psychology Together.” Our fall convention is the premier CE event for clinical psychologists in Washington state and will return to the Hilton Hotel in Bellevue.
Sam Goldstein, Ph.D. will be the featured Keynote speaker for the convention. Dr. Goldstein is a neuropsychologist with areas of specialization in school psychology, child development and neuropsychiatric disorders, and will be speaking on behavioral assessment of youth. To learn more about Dr. Goldstein, visit his website.
The programming for the 3-day event is currently in development and should be complete by the end of August. A call for 1.5CE and 3CE convention presentation proposals has recently gone out; to learn more and to submit a proposal, visit this page to download a PDF application or upload your completed application.
The 2019 convention will feature a breakfast for Newly Licensed Psychologists, a student poster session, a cocktail reception/networking opportunity for Early Career Psychologists, and the Washington Psychologist Awards. There will be plenty of opportunity for members and attendees to network and learn more about ways to get involved.
The convention will be held earlier this year, October 11-13, for better travel weather for those driving over the mountain passes. Early Bird Registration for the convention will open in July. If you are interested in joining the Convention Committee, please see below.
Call for Convention Committee members:
Interested in helping shape convention programming? Join the Convention Committee! Committee members will receive Early Bird pricing regardless of when they register. Time commitment: members should expect to be available for a 4 hour videoconference meeting in June to review convention workshop submissions. Following that meeting, committee members will be responsible for reviewing 2-4 completed CE applications and corresponding with presenters. Email us at email@example.com if you have any questions and/or are interested in joining a great group of committee members!
