Spring 2016: Volume 72, Number 1
by Cindy Chen, Psy.D.
We are the King County, Washington chapter with 172 registered members, the largest chapter (in terms of membership) of the existing six. I stepped in as the chapter president in April, 2016. I am a licensed psychologist with a private practice in Fremont neighborhood. On behalf of Chapter IV, I’d like to extend a warm welcome to our new members in 2015 and 2016!
Currently, our chapter activity is limited to a monthly consultation group meeting. Several reasons help to explain our chapter’s low activity level. First, most of our members have busy schedules. Second, the regional traffic makes getting together an ongoing challenge. And finally, there are always interesting meetings or workshops in the local area vying for our precious time.
However, as practicing psychologists, there are values and benefits of staying connected. As we move into a new year, I ask you to step up to help to activate our chapter. Please send me your suggestions for activities (and formats) that might interest you, and/or let me know if you would like to help organizing some activities, including occasional social gatherings. And please feel free to contact me with your questions.
