Spring 2016: Volume 72, Number 1
The Advisory Committee is a new committee formed to help the Board of Trustees in a variety of ways. Some of these will be, as the name suggests, advisory in nature such as consulting on potential policy changes and reviewing the impact on membership. Others may be more functional, such as small projects the Board needs completed. This committee does not have oversight; rather, it is complimentary and in service to the Board. Current members include Samantha Slaughter, Thomas Roe, and Marcia Wesley. The maximum number of members for this committee is seven plus one alternate. We are actively searching for candidates from all chapters as we look to fully implement its Charter in 2017. We desire a diverse group of committee members, including but not limited to race, ethnicity, gender, rural/urban, and level of experience. Students and Early Career Psychologists are highly encouraged to participate. Please send nominations to Samantha Slaughter at SamanthaSlaughterPsyD@gmail.com. Self-nominations are welcome. A slate of nominees will be determined and given to the Board for final approval.
